One of my favorite projects this summer was a furniture makeover. too busy for a vacation to France, I thought it would be fun to give this piece a bit of a Parisian flare! I started with a great piece with great lines, but in need of a fresh look.
A little cleaning, a fresh coat of Peppercorn from Caromal Colors;
Yes, this was one coat. I have been using Caromal Colours for several months now on many projects. The paints are very thick with excellent bonding and coverage. I thinned the paints with water for this project and was so thrilled with the coverage! Next, a little distressing….
and then for the fun!! I used the Parisian Panels from Royal Design Studio. I think they were designed for this piece!! They were a perfect fit! I stenciled them in a metallic gold.
A coat of sealer and I was finished!
I was so pleased with this piece!! I did this for a client’s office, but he admitted, he would be wrestling with his wife to get it to his office. It would be perfect in their home!
If you are interested in Caromal Colours, you can order through the website. Don’t forget my code Karen S to receive $2 off shipping!
Happy Painting!

Stopping over from Miss Mustard Seed...Love how you finished this piece. I just recently found the Caromal web site. I looks like when you first painted the cabinet that the paint was flat with little sheen but in your final post there seems to be a sheen added. Did you paint the piece with a semiglossy polyurethane?
ReplyDeleteI have some kitchen cabinets that I'd like to use Caromal Reclaim on but don't want a flat finish. Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Michaela
